The best laid plans...
India sits down at Towers with Alan and gives him a $12 million check to repay the loan he gave her. Alan and Tia announce they are dating; India goes to Tia’s room and asks why she didn’t stay at The Regency Hotel. Tia states she felt The Beacon Hotel was more her style; the sisters argue which lead to back years of their father choosing Tia over India. Tia makes a phone call, buys The Beacon Hotel, and tells India she will now be India’s competition. Tia and India get a text message from Hamp. Kat tells David about her mom and aunt. David tells Kat that he thinks their son Hamp is gay. Hamp makes dinner at Towers for Alan, Tia, India, David, and Kat and comes out as gay. Everyone supports him, but Tia has fears of him being black and gay in America. India tells the family she owns The Regency Hotel; Tia announces she owns The Beacon Hotel. Kat rolls her eyes and berates them both for making Hamp’s coming out about them. They both apologize to Hamp. Hamp tells them he also likes someone but doesn’t want to talk about it yet.

During a power surge at the Regency Hotel India and Rusty get stuck in the elevator. They share their stories of their families and childhoods. They end up kissing and are rescued by the fire department. Looking at video cameras India realizes someone intentionally cut the power to the hotel as some customers went to The Beacon Hotel. India goes and confronts Tia who admits she did this. The two sisters physically fight and laugh after. Tia apologizes stating Baron favored India. Alan invites Tia to the gazebo on the Spaulding grounds, proposes, and asks Tia to move in. Tia gives her manager’s apartment at the Beacon Hotel to Roxie. When Roxie declines it she gives it to Co-Manager Pilar. Tia and Alex instantly click.

Marah is organizing a Trends layout at Company when she sees Coop on a date. She flashes back to all the good times in their relationship and walks over. She tells Coop she’s a moron and wants him back; she tells him she doesn’t care if he’s on a date. Coop tells her the woman is a client, and he will only be back with her if she’s all in. Marah proposes to Coop with a bent spoon. He accepts, and they go to Marah’s house and make love.

Blake then writes a fictionalized version of her life called Often Mistaken Never Duplicated, which is another hit. Her success reinvigorates her relationship with Ross as she now has time to spend with him. She overhears Danny talking to an associate. She begins following him and realizes he’s taken over the family business and beings writing a book All Or Nothing. As she writes Michelle settles into being a working mom.

Mindy and Nick visit San Cristobel and meet Edmund Winslow, Richard’s twin brother. Edmund tells them Richard had someone else’s memories along with his own, but was a scoundrel stealing his girlfriend and cheating on her. Edmund tells them he’s sure Richard wants to con Alex since Winslow Winery isn’t doing so well. As they leave Mindy overhears locals gush about Winslow Winery. Nick and Mindy find out Winslow Winery is one of the oldest most prosperous wineries in the world. Confused Mindy talks to Olivia Spencer who tells them Richard was an upstanding guy until he got into a car accident, car driven by Edmund. When Richard woke up with Lujack’s memories he left San Cristobel, and she’s waiting for his return so they can marry. Nick wants her to come to Springfield and bring Richard back. Edmund secretly plans to show up in Springfield as well.

Remy confronts Leah about asking Christina to be her donor as they are now having trouble conceiving. Upset Leah visits with Christina. Christina tells her she doesn’t want kids and is angry Remy came to her. Remy and Christina fight about kids and end up breaking up. Leah and Bill settle into life with their family with frequent visitors.

Philip and Beth deal with Richard being in town. Beth begins spending time with Richard whom insists he is in love with Beth and always has been with Lujack’s memories. Nick and Mindy elope secretly in Las Vegas, NV. During their honeymoon Mindy calls out Lujack’s name. Upset he heads back to Springfield and talks to Alex about it. Alex confronts Mindy telling her to leave Nick if she doesn’t truly love him. Mindy talks to Vanessa on the phone; Vanessa calls Alex and tells her to stay away from her daughter. Mindy and Beth sit down with Richard together and finally hash out all their feelings while Nick and Philip discuss theirs with Rick. Rick, Mel, Nick, Mindy, Beth, and Philip do a couple’s retreat via camping trip. All secrets all revealed and overcome. Richard starts going on dates with Tia after they meet at The Beacon Hotel.

At the Bauer barbecue Leah and Bill show up with the babies as Shayne and Lizzie show up with Lucy. Leah has a twinge when she sees Lucy; Bill helps her attend to their kids. Shayne admits to Leah he isn’t in love with Lizzie and wants her to leave Bill so they can be a blended family. Leah tells Shayne she loves Bill and their family; Lizzie overhears and tells Shayne she wants a divorce and will get full custody of Lucy. Reva intervenes and tells Lizzie she doesn’t care whom her family is NO ONE will take her grandchild away. Tony and Marah accidentally get together when Stacy and Coop aren’t able to go to the bbq due to work. Tony and Marah then bump into each other afterwards “by fate.” Stacy and Coop confront them both separately about their distance. Tony and Marah end up breaking up with Stacy and Coop respectively and go on their first official date together.

Charles introduces Felicia to David, Kat, and Hamp at the Grant home for a cookout. Richard, Tia, India, and Rusty show up. Felicia has Rick, Mel, Leah, and Bill over to meet Charles at Spaulding Mansion. Charles and Felicia realize they are from different worlds, but try to make it work. When Alan decides he wants Spaulding again he blackmails Philip into helping him take it back; Alan-Michael & Amanda joins him. Alex, Felicia, and Beth band together against Alan. Alan wins CEO of Spaulding Enterprises, names Philip as President, Alan-Michael as Vice-President, and Amanda as COO. Alex hires Felicia as Head of PR replacing Blake. Alan realizes how much Spaulding has changed since last he ran it. He holds a meeting with Philip, Alan-Michael, Amanda, and Felicia stating he needs help getting the company under control; Alex walks in as she is named co-CEO. Felicia realizes Alex double crossed her this whole time. Felicia makes a speech about how much they value each other and shut Felicia out for no reason. She tells them as a black woman she will take a position less than what she deserves; she quits and tells them as a sibling she hates them both. Alan and Alex begin feeling bad; they ask Felicia to meet them at Spaulding Mansion. They show Felicia photos of how Brandon and Penelope raised them. Felicia shows them how she was raised by Brandon and Sharina. Felicia agrees to stay on at Spaulding but demands voting privileges...even if silent. They make her Chairperson of the Board. Charles fears Felicia is too involved with the Spauldings and takes her to Napa Valley for wine tasting.

Zach and Hamp finally go on a date; Zach comes out to his family with Hamp’s help. Rafe and Daisy deal with working and raising a family; Daisy has dreams of raising both her kids. Jason and Pilar aren’t on the same page as Pilar wants to live above her means; while Jason is more grounded.
