The best of the worst...
Marina is at the courthouse when Shayne and Lizzie go to divorce court represented by Ben and Natalia respectively. Lizzie is awarded full physical custody with Shayne having every other weekend. Marina consoles Shayne and ends up kissing him. They have flashbacks of their teen years as a couple. She tells him she loves AJ and cannot leave him; he tells her he understands as Leah rejected him too. Marina and Shayne end up having sex. AJ walks in on them and fights Shayne; he ends it with Marina and calls her a disgusting person. Marina discovers she’s pregnant and wonders if it could be either Shayne or AJ’s. Lizzie finds out Shayne and Marina are dating and goes to AJ. They at first start dating to get even with Shayne and Marina but end up falling in love. Marina tells Shayne, Lizzie, and AJ she’s not sure whom the father is. Shayne surprises Marina with a wedding; Frank has “the talk” with Shayne. The baby is born and turns out to be Shayne’s, but is born stillborn. Marina gets into a depression. AJ and Lizzie’s relationship flourishes as they are perfectly matched; neither one wants more kids but want to live the high life and co-parent Lucy with Shayne & Marina. Tony and Marah get married at Cross Creek. She discovers she’s pregnant with their daughter Antonia. Coop goes to speed dating and ends up meeting Stacy. They start dating and get married shortly after when Stacy becomes pregnant. Nola and Quint come back to help Stacy with her pregnancy. She gives birth to Nolan Cooper.
Hart and Cassie go on dinner dates with David and Kat. As do Philip, Beth, Rick, Mel, Mindy, and Nick.
Richard brings Winslow Winery to Springfield. He assumes control of US operations and goes to San Cristobel to tell Edmund he’s allowing him to run the overseas operations. He also breaks up with Olivia. Olivia realizes Richard belongs in Springfield and gives him back his mother’s ring. Edmund blackmails Olivia into marrying him. Confused Richard confronts Edmund about marrying his ex-fiancée. Edmund lies stating he and Olivia have been lovers for years; the brothers fight with Olivia stating she’s pregnant with Edmund’s child. Richard leaves and tells them they are only business partners not family. Back in Springfield Richard asks Kat’s permission to propose to Tia; she says yes, and Richard proposes to Tia at Towers.
Kevin and Clarissa visit with their old friend Charles. He introduces them to Felicia. Kevin and Clarissa introduce Charles and Felicia to their church St. Luke’s Baptist Church where Kevin is also a Pastor. Kevin, Clarissa, Charles, and Felicia become more involved with the church hosting Easter Egg hunt for the kids in town, celebrating Black History month, Kwanzaa, and Juneteenth. They also host a cookout with soul food where Zach and Hamp come out as a couple for the first time.
India and Rusty move in together, but Rusty realizes he’s not “up to par” with India. He breaks up with her. She tracks him down at Company and holds her own as his drinking buddy. He apologizes for misjudging her, and they get back together.
At one of Danny’s meetings someone notices Blake. They knock her out and hide her in the trunk. After the meeting Danny pretends not to know Blake telling Don Giovanni (Al Pacino) to let her go. Don Giovanni thinks Danny is lying and does know Blake and holds a gun to her head. Danny shoots Don Giovanni and Tony helps take out his men. With Don Giovanni dead by Danny’s gun rules state Danny is now the Don. Stunned Blake admits she’s writing a book; Danny tells her she can continue writing the book, but he wants 50% profits. Blake finishes the book. Michelle feels the comparisons to her family are great and confronts Danny. He denies her claims; Michelle confronts Blake who admits it is about Danny who’s now Don. Shocked Michelle confronts Danny telling him she wants a divorce. Danny confronts Blake who tells him she is in no way obliged to lie for him to her husband’s best friend’s daughter. Danny pulls out all the stops to woo Michelle. She calls off the divorce, but demands security upped on her and their daughter.
Zach and Hamp experience their first fight when Hamp gets hit on during a party. Daisy and Rafe display different parenting styles. Pilar discovers she may be pregnant and hides it from Jason; Jason finds her pregnancy test and starts planning for their future.
